Got a brain like bubblegum

Proper English Summers are back! None of those nasty Euro, sunny, airless and depressing dry conditions. Wet, warm, cloudy and windy, that's what we expect and that's what we've had so far. Hurrah!
Though it was quite hot yesterday when Edward and I took a brisk stroll along the river Lea. He was panting after an hour.

When we stopped to sit on the grass (to watch the sexy scullers) my feet were so hot they made my shoes melt into the ground.

The tide goes out soooooooo far in Southport (Lancashire). We're off there today for the weekend. I promised the folk in this pic that I'd try to find the Irish Sea and drag it back up the beach for them to cool off in.
