Crosby beach (north of Liverpool) yesterday morning.

This is the home of those 20 Antony Gormley statues dotted around the beach and hidden at high tide. The project is called 'Another Place' but all those figures are copies of Mr Gormley so maybe it should be called 'Another Ego'.

We spent an hour or so strolling on the sands and the dunes and then had ice cream while watching the locals jog and cycle along the coastal path (we were just killing time while Darrens Mum worked on our Sunday Roast).


We went to see Hairspray at the cinema in Wigan on Friday. It's very good and does great justice to the Broadway show. John Travolta was funny and made me forget Harvey Fierstein 10 minutes into the film. I think we were the only gays in a nearly full cinema showing the campest musical of the year on it's opening night.
