I'm a bit late with this one but now that I have discovered its perfection I'm addicted. Antony And The Johnsons - Now I'm A Bird. Utter utter brilliance. It makes me nearly weep. That voice, that dark-chocolate Nina Simone voice hums with pain, longing and fear (made even more astounding when you remember he's a white boy). The sister song duet with Boy George made me stop cycling this morning in a back street in Hackney. I just stopped the bike and sat there listening, really really listening hard. If you don't have this cd yet please get it. If you don't buy cd's change that today and buy this.
And if you want to buy two cd's while you're in the shop then I also recommend Mesmerize by System Of A Down. Clever metal I call it.
